If file preview screen on -your-Drive loads too slow or fails, just click “Download”from (V) menu to download it directly!

NB:

“The quota exceeded error” workaround: You can press “Add to my Drive” icon on preview screen , then go to YOUR google-drive (you must be logged to google-account) , select a file and press “Make a copy” in context menu , then you will be able to Download the file “Copy of …”
